I have to admit I was shocked to read that my last post was at 59 days. It is now 38 days to go so definitely time to update you on the plans for IAWP 2014.
We just go our final approval for the Parade of Nations on Sunday, September 28. A great big thank you to a few other City of Winnipeg departments who will be lending a hand that day...it takes a great effort by a number of departments to get that done.
Remember that the Parade of Nations is going to be held on the same Sunday as the National Police Memorial. Here in Manitoba that service is hosted by the Manitoba Association of Chiefs of Police and we are a partner is this event. I fully expect that our IAWP 2014 and MACP Parade and service will be the second largest in the county behind the service in Ottawa. Be sure to check to see if we are.
We continue to grow our number of volunteers and will be hosting two volunteer orientation days. Once again a huge THANK YOU to Peerless Garments, volunteer sponsor for IAWP 2014. Can't say enough good things about this company so be sure to visit their booth at the Trade Show.
