As we move into the month of March, many of us are looking forward to spring ! The winter months in western and northern Canada can be long and cold. Our women police officers continue to work in all kinds of conditions keeping our communities safe.
I wanted to acknowledge some of the accomplishments of two dedicated members:
Cst Linda Malcolm of Vancouver Police Department received her 35 year Exemplary Service Medal
from Chief Adam Palmer in January 2017
|
RCMP Deputy Commissioner Marianne Ryan set to retire in March 2017
after 35 years of dedicated service
|
On February 22nd, police agencies across Canada supported the anti-bullying campaign, Pink Shirt Day in taking a stand against all forms of bullying in our communities. Hats off to all who participated !

And for a final note of inspiration, a two women officers from Saskatoon Police Service police officers attended their local girl guide chapter and were surprised by the response they received. Just a reminder to all of us that wear the uniform, we make a difference every day!
